Retreats and Service Opportunities

OVERNIGHT RETREATS AND PILGRIMAGES

SPRING BREAK SKI RETREAT

This is a great way for our students to connect with other students who are involved in our youth ministry program. This spring break experience allows students to grow in fellowship with others, grow in their faith through evening reflections, and enjoy beautiful days skiing on Mount Crested Butte.

COLLEGE VISITS

These trips are for upperclassmen in high school. We will visit the Catholic Newman Centers at nearby colleges to connect you with the Catholic communities, to introduce you to programs who work with Catholic college students, and to visit with students who attend these colleges who have been through King’s Crew.

For more information, contact Jeff or Adam.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE

NIGHT LIGHT TULSA

Come spend an evening with us as we love and serve the homeless community of Tulsa. This service opportunity allows you to directly serve the poor by serving food, passing out basic necessities, washing their feet, building relationships, and praying with them. This is a beautiful opportunity to encounter Jesus in the poor.

For more information about this ministry, visit the following website: http://www.nightlighttulsa.org/

Contact Jeff or Adam to learn more about the next service event.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE

This service day is an exciting way to prepare for the resurrection of our Lord. On Good Friday, we will give our students the chance to encounter the Lord through different service projects around the Tulsa area. We will end the day with Stations of the Cross led by our Jr. High youth in the church.

CHRIST CARE DAY

Each fall and each spring when parishioners at Christ the King have the opportunity to serve in a variety of charitable agencies around the metro area of Tulsa, our high school youth are encouraged to participate in this as a way of demonstrating their outreach to the community and their membership in our parish.

STEUBENVILLE YOUTH CONFERENCE

This is a great opportunity for our students to share their Catholic faith with others around the United States. Our students are able to connect with the larger Catholic Church and meet others who share the same morals, values, and religion. Throughout the weekend they will have the chance to encounter Jesus Christ.

SUMMER MISSION TRIP

The Summer Mission Trip is designed to take our students who are already involved in our youth ministry to a level of seeking or missionary discipleship. We intentionally design each day so that our students have multiple opportunities to encounter the Lord in authentic ways. During the day, the students and mentors will have the opportunity to help others in a hands-on approach, participate in construction projects, see Christ in others and those whom they serve, and accept their Baptismal call to be a part of the Body of Christ. In the evenings, they will have the opportunity for prayer, praise and worship, the rosary, adoration, reconciliation, reflections, Mass, and faith witness. This is an opportunity for students to take ownership of their faith and to experience the Church as the living Body of Christ.
