FATHER ELKIN'S LECTIO CHALLENGE
Ring in the new year by renewing your faith. This January, Fr. Elkin challenges you to participate in his lectio challenge. The rules are easy... 1. Pick a partner for accountability. 2. Read the daily Gospel readings (daily readings can be found on the USCCB website here). 3. Reflect and answer the four questions below every day during the month of January. 4. Send your answers to your partner daily via text or email (and they will send you there answers) to keep each other accountable. Additionally, SIGN UP and receive a lectio video from Fr. Elkin every Monday as he joins you on your spiritual journey.

(Reflection Questions: What is going on in the Bible passage? Is there something God is revealing to me through this passage? What feelings or thoughts do I want to express to God? What do I want to do based on my prayer?)

Started by a CTK parishioner, Ascension St. John Medical Center has had perpetual Adoration (24 hours a day) since 1983. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they are seeking adorers to fill the schedule. What is required? Faithfully fill your selected hour of Adoration in the Sister's Chapel (located within the Ascension St. John Medical Center at 21st and Utica) once a week. Participants may spend their hour praying a Rosary, reading the Bible, sitting in quiet meditation, etc. All social distancing and sanitation measures are in place to provide a safe environment for worship. Additionally, the chapel door is locked for security and all adorers are provided a code for access.
