Stewardship Renewal 2020

To the people of the Parish of Christ the King:

“But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33)

We are made for Heaven. God, in His infinite love and mercy, created us for Himself that we may one day enjoy forever the fullness of His Divine Love. He desires to give us His Kingdom, and the Kingdom of God is not only a place but a Person named Jesus Christ.

Last year, we announced our Three Year Parish Plan: “Building the Kingdom of God.”

Each year's journey is designed to allow God to build His kingdom within our parish. As colaborers, we are responsible for being active participants in laying this foundation. Through your participation, and God's grace, we hope for our parish:

  • to know the person of Jesus Christ and have a relationship with Him that affects our daily lives,

  • to be familiar with the Church and her teachings,

  • to be confident in sharing the faith with family, friends, and coworkers,

  • to be filled with peace, joy, compassion and parishioners striving for virtue.

As we face a time of uncertainty that might tempt us to despair, I ask you to hope with confidence and pray with me, “Jesus, I trust in You!”

No matter our circumstances, the Lord is faithful, and He is near. He gives us Himself and invites us to entrust ourselves to His most Sacred Heart that is full of goodness and love.

As we kick off Year Two, please consider in what ways you and your family can respond to His love for you. How can you participate in Building His Kingdom? To help you, our Stewardship Booklet outlines many opportunities for you to renew your personal commitment of time, talent, and treasure.

Thank you for laboring with me for the sake of His Kingdom. Know of my prayers for each of you.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Elkin J. González
