Stewardship Renewal 2019-2020
To the people of the Parish of Christ the King:
“But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
We are made for Heaven. God, in His infinite love and mercy, created us for Himself so that we may one day enjoy forever the fullness of His Divine Love. He desires to give us His Kingdom, and the Kingdom of God is not only a place, but a Person named Jesus Christ.
As Catholics, we are called to bring the Lord into our hearts, into our homes, into our workplaces, and into our community. We are called to build up the Church that exists as a sign and instrument of intimate union with God. We labor with and for the Lord that the Kingdom of God may be made known here on earth while we wait for the glory of Heaven.
For the next three years, our parish will have one focus: “Building the Kingdom of God.” The Lord desires to give us His Kingdom, to give us Himself, and He invites us to work with Him so that His loving reign may be established in ourselves and in our community here at the Parish of Christ the King.
As we Build the Kingdom of God together, I invite you to reflect on your priorities this year:
· How can I lead my family closer to the Lord?
· In what areas of my life can I invite the Lord to reign?
· What ministries will challenge me to use the talents I have for the sake of the Kingdom?
· In what ways can I learn to receive the Lord’s love?
Please renew your personal commitment of time, talent, and treasure by filling out the included commitment card. You may bring it back to Mass on Commitment Weekend (September 21st and 22nd) or return it to the Parish Office.
 All for His Kingdom,
Fr. Elkin J. González, Pastor
